How to Make Jamaican Irish Moss Drink

The Jamaican Irish Moss is a popular drink on the island. Although it’s packed with a milieu of nutritious ingredients, it’s especially common among Jamaican men who believe the drink can boost bedroom stamina.

But, whether you are looking for a natural energy booster or just something to quench your thirst, the Irish Moss is the perfect drink that will leave you extremely satisfied.

 4 lbs Irish Moss
 ¾ cup Natural Honey
 3 Large Limes, Juiced
 3 oz Gum Arabic
 5 oz Linseed
 5 oz Isinglass
 4 tbsp Vanilla Extract
 5 qts Water
 2 tbsp Powdered/ Grated Nutmeg
 2 tbsp Cinnamon Powder
 1 tbsp Pumpkin Seeds
 1 Bottle of Magnum Tonic Wine (optional)

Wash the Irish Moss thoroughly to remove sand or debris.

Leave Irish Moss to soak in water overnight. Add one-part Irish Moss to two-part water. Ensure you add sufficient water. If not, the Irish Moss will absorb all the water. (If you can’t wait to soak the Moss overnight, you can boil it right away. Just be prepared for a long cooking process).

Blend Pumpkin and Chia Seeds.

Place some water in a large pot and bring to a boil.

Add Irish Moss, Isinglass, Gum Arabic, Linseed, Pumpkin-Chia Seed mix to the boiling water.

Cook until all the ingredients except the Irish Moss has dissolved.

Strain the liquid into another pot and dispose of the Irish Moss and other remnants in strainer.

Add Honey, Vanilla extract, powdered/grated Nutmeg, Cinnamon powder and stir well (taste and add honey according to desired sweetness).

Boil for approximately 10 minutes to allow all the flavors to combine well.

Cool mixture, add magnum (optional)

Stir then refrigerate for 5 hours before serving.
